Cooperative Play
From Wikia Gaming
Co-op is an abbreviation for Cooperative Play. In terms of video games, a game is said to have a Co-op mode or Co-op option when two or more players can play together, combining their efforts to progress in the game, as opposed to competing with each other. If Co-op is offered in a game, it usually is offered as an alternate way to play through some or all of the single player levels. In contrast, Co-op does not refer to players working together against other players, as in team capture the flag or deathmatch modes. Co-op play, when available, is most often found in First-person shooters or Beat em ups, but may occasionally be found in other genres.
