[edit] Storyline
After the destruction of the Temple of Nod in Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, the world is at peace. Kane, whose body was never found, was presumed dead, and the leadership of the Brotherhood fell to pieces. Tiberium, the hazardous fast-growing mineral from the first game, has all but taken over the entire surface of the Earth, leaving only the coldest regions of the world hospitable to human life. The Global Defence Initiative moves its headquarters to the space station Philadelphia as a result, and assumes a silent watch over the planet... until Kane mysteriously returns and wages war once again with the GDI.
